On 04/19/2022 the redacted passed the Rules as follows (which were effective for the spyware@conference.nuegia.net XMPP MUC from April 19th 2022 until Jun 24th 2022 when they were updated):
R1: You must follow the Network Rules: https://www.nuegia.net/services_draft.xhtml
R2: Discussions about generalized Privacy, Security, Hardware, Software and Society, take place here. Topical relevance is determined by the room as a whole.
R3: Try not to be excessively off topic.
R4: If you have a question, don't ask to ask, just ask.
R5: Do not expect immediate responses for questions, levels of expertise range. Someone may know the answer but may not be online.
R6: When in doubt, RTFM.
R7: Spam that has nothing to do with anything at hand (or goes on for excessive time) is discouraged.
R8: Teasing can seem like bullying and bullying is not teasing. Intention of actions may need to be cleared up.
R9: Politics and Religion can be fun, but sometimes it is a bother, read the room or go to: xmpp:spyware-offtopic@conference.nuegia.net?join
R10: All bans are to be reviewed by the redacted.
R11: Review by the redacted, of any topic including but not limited to bans, is to take place 1 day after a session has been called. Active members of the redacted then vote, and the result is binding unless voted on again. 24 hours must be given for voting to take place, due to differing timezones. Votes can only be held on weekdays.
R12: The redacted will create a system of logging all administrative/moderator actions in a way that is publicly transparent.
